This is the part -- okay, one of several, but a notable one -- where in person, Trowa would let the silence stretch until Duo gave in and rushed to fill it. (With Duo, that usually takes about thirty seconds.)

That's harder in email. Which is undoubtedly part of why Duo chose it.

There's a pause anyway, before the reply comes.
